Very nice & it is a very beautiful country (loved seeing the whale sharks near Oslob on Cebu)! I want to see a tarsier monkey on my next trip. Here's one of mine:
Very dramatic & interesting $20 error @AustinJ0324 These large sized notes from Germany are interesting. This 50,000 Marks is P-80 from 1922 (post WW1 hyperinflation note). They're quite inexpensive for a century old note in UNC:
I really need to have my ladder graded. Solid CU but wish the centering was a little better. Have the 50 note strap in CU from 23456751 to ...23456800. Any Thoughts on grading S/Ns 23456780 - 23456788?
Very nice ladder. Certainly a gradeable note. Those other S/N's are 'almosts'. I'm not a collectible fan of almosts so I'd save my money and not grade them. YMMV, and that's the beauty of collecting. We collect what we like, not what others like.
always hard to grade a note when it’s not in hand but based on what I see your side to side margin is leaning left and your top to bottom margin is a bit short as well, if the rest of the note is good would say 64 tops would be a 65
Thanks @mpcusa I don't have a lot of experience grading currency and understand the limitations of grading by pics (@SteveInTampa and some other paper guys always ask for a view with light shining from the edge help show folds and creases). In hand, I believe the paper quality is excellent. I was leaning towards CU65, but thought the centering could possibly knock it back to 64. (FYI, The rev has decent centering with the same paper quality.
This is absolutely true...once I found a used airline ticket, I think maybe in a book, I don't recall, in really nice shape. The person's name on it? JOHN ELWAY. Wish I still had it. Even though I can't stand him.
Very nice note. Just out of curiosity, why don't you have that in a slab and graded? It's well worth the cost of entombing.
I don't know what your collecting experience is irrespective of your CT join date. The note you posted here is definitely not one of a beginners collection. Hence my question.
Fair enough. I can’t say zero because I did collect up some coins when I was a kid and they’ve followed me around for 40+ years. I posted a couple of other bills here in Paper Money on their on threads. Perhaps others need to be in slab. Source of paper is mom’s estate.
