I'd call customer service to double check with them what the policy is, then go in armed with that information and take it from there.

Just talked with the branch and told them what I found from Dunbar and they said they will do it, but will charge me since Dunbar charges them. Strange. I guess I'll start using the coin counter at a different branch.

Boxes of halves have been OK for me...no more than 3 silvers in each of the last 6 boxes. Found 3 roosies in $100 of dimes this AM so that was very nice.

20 wheats, 3 BU's, and a 1906 IHC out of a box of cents... I still do cents regularly, I just don't post about 'em much because I know most of you guys aren't really into cent searching.

If you post your findings, I'll appreciate them! I am starting to take an interest in cent searching too, just waiting for my USB microscope/camera thingie so I can SEE any double-dies, etc. I have a bag of cents ($50 from a coin machine) waiting at home for the past few days, just need my gadget

I'm also too lazy... only when I make a notable find with cents, I'll post it... I mean, common-date wheat cents, yay, 3 cents each. I did get a 1919 today, I suppose that is interesting.

    I don't check for super-minor errors, I only check for noticeable by eye DD's, WAM's, and CAM's.

I'm getting my first box of penn- I mean cents today. I'm sure this is asked too much, but what WAM's / CAM's do I look for?

Merc, congrats on the Indian Head. What kind of shape have the ones you have found been in? Also have you ever found a '92 or 92-D CAM, or a '96 WAM?

Bought 3 boxes of cents this week, 1 was solid 2011, 1 had only 6 wheaties and 1 canadian, the last had 8 canadians and 16 wheaties including a '14, '27, and '47-S.

I haven't looked through the '95 DD, or '98, '99 '00 WAMs for the last 6 boxes. They are all in a bag, so hopefully when I go through it I'll find a couple out of those.

Most IHC's I've found (3 out of 4) had some type of serious damage that would get them slabbed genuine, sadly. Mostly corrosion. Same deal with the one today. The lone one I found that would slab problem-free graded G6 or thereabouts.

Haven't found any CAM's (You really don't appreciate how rare they are until you go through 350k cents and still don't have one...) but I have found each WAM, except the 1996, which I believe there's only one known of right now.

Anybody else seeing a huge drop-off in the amount of silver you are finding in Half Dollar Boxes? I have found a whopping (1) 40% half in the last 16 boxes searched.

It's getting ugly out there for half dollar boxes in the Upper Midwest!!!

Went to the bank today. Was buying my weekly supply of dollar coins (Got a 2010 native american dollar. YAY!) and when I was finished they said they'll have 96 ikes waiting for me tomorrow. If I were to sell 50 of them in a lot on ebay, how much do you think I could get out of them? I hear they sell for a decent premium on ebay.

Eh, you'll get somewhere around 70-80 for 'em. Make sure you check 'em for type 2's and friendly eagles before selling them.

I bought a box of pennies the other day and I noticed through the holes that every single cent was mint condition and looked like 2011 shields...they were..

Every roll had D mintmarked 2011 Shield Cents..Every roll but one. That roll had about 5 cents from the 70's and 80s...weird.

But I hoarded a lot of 2009, 2010, and started to hoard 2011 (I still do pick out the 09's), so I kept a few rolls out of the box, but am taking to rest to distribute at work.

Waste of a box or not? I'm going with not, I found all the 2011 cent's I could ever want to hoard.

    *From a teller's tray, I scored a '67 Kennedy.
*From a car wash change machine, I didn't expect to find a coin on the launch day, but I did, a Grant dollar coin.

Got a call from my lady teller friend. Someone cashed in $90 in halves today, she bought 'em all.

Said she saw a decent amount of silver while counting it for the customer. She's gonna bring it over and we're gonna figure out how much there is and figure a price out. :D

She sells it to me pretty cheap, we've been good friends for a long time. :)

When you get the microscope, you may need to go download some other software to use it. The stuff that came with mine wouldn;t give me a snapshot with either Win7 or WinXP2. I got a different program and it works fine.
