P steely. is it gradable?

    It is hard to tell from the photos but it looks like there are still trace amounts of luster remaining around the devices and rims. I would guess it to be an extra-fine.

    That is an easy AU, but are you really thinking of spending $30+ to grade a $1 coin?

    I think the initial question was "Is it gradable ?"
    Just about any coin in any condition can have it's condition graded.
    Assigning your own grade to a coin is completely different than spending money on submitting a coin to a grading company for their official opinion.
    If the initial question was "Is the coin worth submitting to a grading company ?" , the answer would be NO.

    thatnks folks i was just really wanting educated opinons, in no way did i mean to imply that i was going to send it in for grading
