$13 for any problem free, fairly detailed sestertius is a great deal! I would've bought that!

Agreed, even I would buy it for $13, you should go back and get some more if they are that cheap at the pawn store.

How much do you think it's worth in the condition it's in

$35 (guess) but the leaves on the wall are sharper so you can hide a lot in a photo that fuzzy. Describe the $40 one. It is not common to find a seller who knows nothing selling real coins for half their worth but common to find fakes at double the cost of real ones. The photo looks believable but I'd check a couple others before buying the whole lot.

Oh there real alright the pawner bought them from some person who had collected them for 40 years and I forgot what the 40 dollar 1 looked like. so im pretty sure it's real the rest of them a lot are in good condition but not all but I would go back there

what do you mean by the leaves on the wall

The pictures of leaves in the frame on your wall, he means they are sharper in photo quality then your coin.

As for the lot of coins, you should scoop up whatever you can afford.

He's referring to the picture of leaves in the background of the coin pics you posted. If you could get a picture with the coins more in focus, that would be helpful for confirming authenticity. That said, there doesn't appear to be anything in that picture that indicates forgery, and I certainly would have bought this coin for that price.

So was the $40 another Gordian III coin, or was it something else?

The new pictures change nothing significant. the detail is better than I previously thought but the surface color and evenness is not so great so I still see it as a decent but not exceptional coin.

Yeah, it looks authentic. How large across in diameter is it and have you weighed it?
