My bank sold me a box today that I didn't order. Perhaps I got someone else's box. Maybe it was yours!

Hahahah...maybe!! Did you come to FL???? Your profile shows VA, but people vacation down here :)...even if it was you, thats fine. I know another branch to order that nobody that "collects coins" goes out to :)....

18 rolls of cents yielded 4 wheats and 18 canadians. Now time to pick out the copper (pre 1982). I'm a little disappointed on the wheats. I usually end up with much more than that. My average has been 1 every 2 rolls but this morning killed it.

What banks do you guys find free change counters? BofA, Wells Fargo, what? I can't seem to find a single one around me. :(

TD and CapitalOne I think. My local bank has a counter but there's a 3% charge.

Got up early and went to the local credit union and pulled 8 rolls of halves, Everyone had at least 3 silver and one had 9 in it, all were 40% but 4 90's!! I was happy!!!

Not a roll find specifically, but my bank teller friend sold me a '57-D quarter and 3 silver Roosies for about $5 and gave me several old FRN's to try and sell for her.

Also not exactly a roll find, but my boss' mom works in the office at a catholic church. She counts the offering and such, and he went through the halves they had there for me. They had 4 rolls worth. I'm guessing they don't take them in to the bank very often. Anyway, he pulled me 4 Walkers and 6 or so 40%ers! I'll have to buy them off him, but for under melt. So it's a win win, I suppose.

EDIT: Also found this (http://www.cointalk.com/t174574/) in a box of halves, with nothing else. Well, nothing except 4-5 rolls worth of sharpie-marked dump halves. And 2 NIFCS.

Hmm, church collection... why didn't I think of this?

Time to go to church tomorrow! :D

Haha yeah. Well, I was skeptical at first, because when I went to church when I lived back home, nobody ever put coins in the offering. Not that I searched the plate, but it just looked like cash and checks.
However, this church (and I think many Catholic churches, maybe) has collection boxes around the building that get collected weekly or so. So I suppose, people go to confession, then drop a quarter or two (or a Walking Lib, in this case) in the box on the way out. That's my theory.

    3 boxes of BWR Halves.
    Box 1 = 1 40%
    Box 2 = 1 40% and a Masonic Penny
Box 3 = No Silver, but 80% are 2001D uncirculated

Question... Are the Uncirculated 2001D Halves sellable? Some of them are already beginning to tone. It looks like they came froma bag before they were rolled since I can see a canvas pattern on some of the coins, and the ones that are toning have crescent shaped tones telling me that other coins were sitting on top of them for a long time and the part that was exposed to the air was toning.

Instead of dumping them, is selling them a likelihood? I would need to get at least face + eBay fees if I did, but since these coins have brilliant luster and few bag marks, is it worth listing them in a lot?

8 boxes of halves netted 7 40%ers. Better than nuttin.......

  20. Got one box of pennies yesterday, lowest number of wheats yet, only twelve. I did net a 1916 and 1936 though, so it wasn't all bad.
