    Truly <infinitive verb> courage of the Russian warrior.

    The verb is something built on top of "to write".

    It means that they were SO brave, that there is no way to describe it in a way that would properly match the reality. As far as i understand, this is a http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Gangut medal.
