Whats the error? Have a picture? I am not sure that an art bar would be worth more then its weight in silver though.

    Welcome to the CT Forum.

Piece of friendly advice, never post in all CAPS, it's considered shouting ;)

In addition to the advice on your second thread about this same item, there is no need to start continuous threads on the same subject. One is plenty ;)

A reasonable question on your other thread about this same thing;)

The Abbott and Costello silver art bar that you are referring was minted in 1978 by GreatHouse Productions. The bar that you have is the mispelled version. The serial # is on the side of this bar. Generally speaking, GreatHouse Productions silver art bars are very hard to find on the local level. Most of the GreatHouse silver art bars are found on ebay as BIN auctions. They sell for a very high premium over spot on ebay at the BIN price. The mintage that I see for this GreatHouse Abbott and Costello silver art bar is 175 according to the 4th edition of Archie Kidd's book titled "An Indexed Guide Book of Silver Art Bars". I have not seen one on ebay as a regular auction but I have seen some BIN prices on ebay in the past and some of the prices can range from $85 to $100.

I have not had any luck on finding GreatHouse art bars locally because the low mintage numbers makes them hard to find. I buy them on ebay but I usually wait until one is put up on ebay as a regular auction. I do not bother with the Buy-It-Now (BIN) prices because they are too high IMO.

That is an excellent art bar find and it is a rare silver art bar. Congrats. :)

This is what the silver art bar that the OP is referring to looks like:

It is the first picture that you will see when you click on that link. Actually it is worth more than silver value on ebay. The one in the link was for a BIN price of $89.99 but I had ebay bucks to knock the price down to $31.14 and I ended up only paying $31.14 for it. A silver art bar like that will probably fetch a winning bid of between $70 - $80 on ebay but that is a guess since I have never seen one up for a regular auction on ebay.
