1970S LG Date Not too bad shape, scans don't do it justice, probabley a F as the steps are worn quite good on reverse, many small hits both sides.
Yesterday, at the corner store I bought an energy drink, gave the owner $5 and I received few dollars and a nickel in change...I looked closely at the nickel...1963 WWII nickel!! Thats free $2 cash! So, I only paid approx .89 cent for the energy drink - LOL!
Crappy strike, not wear. It's probably AU or MS, not sure. If it was in F, it would be brown... red cents, almost without exception, are MS. Here's an MS example I found yesterday;
I was feeling bad because I haven't gotten a war nickel in change in years. Then I realized that since I just drank water today, I'm still 89 cents ahead.
^ that. Would be cool to find a 1965 dime on a silver planchet in change, though...word is there's a few out there!
If it's from 1963 it's probably a "Vietnam nickel". The '50-53's are "Korea nickels". I've got a whole bunch that I'm preparing to sell on eBay
