Considering there would be two if not three layers of paper on the roll, I seriously doubt those marks would actually be from the reeding .
This is just a standard blank planchet... I see nothing to indicate otherwise... I would bet my left foot that when you take it out of the roll there is no reeding.
How can either of you say this? The dude states flatly that he can FEEL the reeding and SEE the impressions! The impressions are FROM him pressing his fingernail against the coin. Are both of you saying he is lying? I don't get it.
Because blank planchets don't have reeding. I'm not saying he is lying... but he doesn't know if it is reeded or not till he opens the roll. If he believes there is reeding I'd say have him open it and prove us wrong. If the planchet is reeded then it's worth far more then the blank planchet at the end of the roll. I still bet it's not reeded.
well I THINK it's a flattened out - pressed through grease - penny with reeding that got nickel cladding. I don't even think he really got it from the bank, it was a hobo down by the river. OPEN THE ROLL danlboon! Put me out of my misery.
And I think you are wrong... We'll just have to agree to disagree till he opens the roll.... if he opens the roll.
you could cut a small flap | V | in the roll just under the coin/blank . The roll would still be sealed as far as being able to change its contents.
