HELLO CT!!!!!! Thanks for stopping by another one of my threads! Today I have for you a note of mine I just picked out of some straps at work, its a 1995 Atlanta Georgia $2 note with what looks like a mirrored image of the "THIS NOTE IS LEGAL TENDER FOR ALL DEBTS PUBLIC AND PRIVATE". I thought it looked neat and, heck, it didnt break the bank, so I scooped er up. Was the ink used to make this note too wet? I'm not at all knowlegable on the subject of paper money, YET :], and knew that at least one person on here could help me out. I can clearly read, through my loupe, that its a mirror of the text on the other side of the note. Any and all info/opinions are welcome!!:hail: Have a great week CT!
Looks like somebody folded the note in half and stuck it in a wallet for a long time. The ink will often transfer from one side to the other in such a case. Not a BEP error, I'm afraid....
I have a 2 notes that look the same, but you can see the reverse on obverse and obverse on reverse. Both notes are CH CU, seem fresh off the press. Are these the same?
I don't see anything out of the ordinary on the note other than the mirror "THIS NOTE IS LEGAL....."..I think maybe I see a mirror of the black stamp below the "THIS NOTE IS LEGAL TENDER.....". But my eyes are probably tricking me, making me want to see it...But it makes sense if the "it's mirrored because it's been folded over for ever" opinion is the case. post pix of yours? Any other opinions on my note CT?? Ty ))))
