I am not bidding on this 1880 PF63 CAM Here is a proof 63 CAM on Teletrade. Right now the bid is $2,300. http://www.teletrade.com/coins/lot.asp?auction=3060&lot=1379&imagetype=j2 Wouldn’t it be interesting if the Teletrade computer bids it up to $3,000 & then lists it as "not sold" tomorrow.
It may not be proof or PL, but it's a shot for 64, even if it comes in at 63, it's a great deal for $50.
They say somewhere in their rules that they have the option to bid on their own coins & on behalf of their consignors (or something like that). I think I'll post a new thread so the CT folks can all comment.
Not bidding their own coins up... they just use a "bidder number" that they control in their system to set the reserve as specified by the consignor.
