While it's a common date, this one has been a senior member of my collection, ever since I rescued it from a junk box for $5. And for some reason, the scan shows a "Ghost O" just above the "O" in "DOLLAR".

I can see your "ghost". Time to break out the EMF. :D

I watch Ghost Adventures (guilty pleasure) and you need an EVP recorder, an EMF pump, a "spirit box," and some night vision equipment. That's for starters.

Then, we need to find an old rickety house that creaks a lot. We'll set up static night vision cameras around your coin and record the results.

    Everyone ready? Ok. Good. BREAK!

Here's an 1893-CC I picked up a little while back. I would grade it as a VF-20. What do you think?

My Ghost O seems harmless enough. She might just be trying to tell me that she was an "O" mint in a previous life. LOL.

    Nice date !

VF20 details. It looks cleaned in the photo. Does it look harshly cleaned in hand or do you think it would slab? It is a very nice date & very few people have one in any condition.

It looks like it has been dipped, but not harshly cleaned.
