Now, what to do with them? The tubes are 2001p and 1974.
May try to sell the lot on ebay. Don't know yet.

Bank two... $14 halves = nothing

Bank three... 10 cwr's of halves = nothing

Break them up and sell them on here through classifieds.. I for one would take those '11s off your hands **** I'll take all the gov wrapped rolls.. Forget eBay.. think of it as helping folks who like to help each other..

Then again, I understand you wanting to maximize the profit on your nice score!!

3rd Skunk box in a row of halves. All Strings & Sons from the same Bank. Should have another box waiting for me tomorrow at a different bank, here's to #4, hopefully some silver shakes out of this one.
Also heading out of town tomorrow, and going to a small town 3 hours away for a wedding. Should have time Saturday morning to hit up a few of the local banks, I'll keep you all posted. So far Zero
Halves though for me since I've started searching halves 3 weeks ago.

Nice IHC Incarnate. I've never found one.

I did a box last night and finally broke through my bad luck streak: 9 40%ers and 1 1964 :)

If y'all recall, last week I complained how I've barely been finding any wheats in my cent searches lately. I went from averaging around 30 per box to getting maybe 6 or 8 per box for the past couple of months.

apparently, all I have to do is complain on here! I picked up 2 boxes this morning and I could see that 5 of the rolls had wheats showing on the ends. I brought 2 rolls in to the office with me to do a sample search. This is the first roll I opened:
33 wheats in one roll! Plus, those bright shiny ones are 1970 and 1970-S's! The second roll wasn't as good, but had 5 more wheats. What sucks is that I have meetings booking almost my entire day. Gotta find a way to sneak in some roll searching time in between!

nice IHC find incarnate. In all my years of roll searching, I've never found one. I have gotten one in change once, and last year I found a 1907 sitting on top of the give-a-penny, take-a-penny tray at my local pizzeria!

Still searching and working up my bank routes (The Wife is very old friends with the manager of our local BofA branch, where The Wife worked during highschool, but I want several outlets). Found some roosies yesterday, but full report next Friday.

In the meantime, I have a couple of, probably dumb, questions:

    What does "CWR" stand for?

What's the protocol on returning coin to dump banks? Re-roll or not?

    Thanks!

    Customer Wrapped Roll.

Depends? My dump banks use counting machines, makes it easier and faster, plus they won't take rolled change.

Thanks for the info, Merc! I've been referring to the CWR's as "hand wrapped rolls" as opposed to machine wrapped rolls. Just working up some some abbreviations for my weekly reports, as I am finding there are differences in "quality". I'm working up a spread sheet for my finds so that I can track trends, and hopefully improve my odds of finding "treasure". heh

    Have a good weekend everybody!

I picked up two boxes today.

    Box 1: 1988 S proof, 1981 S Proof, 1987 NIFC, 6 40%ers. :)
    I'll open box 2 later

I also met someone who wanted to sell some older coins. I told them what each was worth in silver content and offered to help him sell them. Or, I could give him $250 right now. He took it, and this is what I got:

    Littleton Coin Album for Eisenhowers
Littleton Coin Album for Morgans 1892-1921
Two pairs of white cotton gloves
    7 Ikes
    Morgans: 1889, 1884 O, 1881 S, 1902 O, 1921
    Peace: 1922, 1923 x2,
    Walker: 1944
    American Eagle 2002

Again, I told him what each was worth in silver content from today's prices and he sold them to me for $250.

    What d'ya think?

Solid deal. Too lazy to do the math, but 30 per morgan times 5 is 150, 3 peace's is another 90, ase is 48, walker is 17... pretty solid deal, I'd have offered him $200, though.

Current melt for the Morgans and Peace dollars is $37 each.
