I use CurrencyManage aswell as the coin and stamp one. All of them do foreign and U.S. Also if they do not have the country/note that you have, you can easily add it with their Create new group/note function. You can download a free trial from their website I am pretty sure.
Anytime, just pm me if you have any troubles or questions with any of the Currency/Coin/StampManage programs!
I have been working on some coin software for over a year. If you could hold out another few weeks, it will be going live. Here are a couple screenshots to hopefully get you interested. Also, managing your own collection will be free. I already have some beta testers from CT, but I could use some more. If you are interested, please PM me and I will send you the information for beta testing. -greg
What a great looking program. Very clean and professional. It looks like it might be adaptable to my needs for cataloging my type set; the other programs discussed here aren't suitable or that. I've been using Excel but am not entirely satisfied with the results.
I agree, these does look very clean. I'm pretty booked up so probably am not of much use in being a beta tester, but I might give it a try once its released. Ive played around with this Coin Catalog software, it seems to be written in Microsoft Access, which I do like better than the Excel sheets I have been using. I am considering purchasing it, has anyone else tried this software?
I'm not sure what your particular needs are, but it does allow for custom albums and grouping of your coins in any way you want. So it sounds like it might work for you.
Pro Coin 2010 I have been using Pro Coin 2010 software for about 6 months now. It takes a little bit of time to get the learning curve of it, but at least I am getting better organized with my coins. $ 34.99 for the download $ 39.99 for the CD Mailed to you.
How do you like it? It seems to be on special pricing now, http://www.db-pros.com/coincatalogpro is listing it for $24.95. It has to be better than the Excel files Ive been maintaining
Coin Collector Pro was free and I found it online and I downloaded it and I realized that the program SUCKS...All it has is you have to type in the year, and mint mark youself and other info and it takes FOREVER with a big collection...and I couldnt figure out how to search for a coin but I finnaly figured it out and now all of my collecton is on it! Do NOT get it...by chance does anyone know if there is a kindel app for the kindle for coin inventory or an excel type thing? THanks in advance
Excel creates a document (****.xls or ****.xlsx) that can be read and modified on any computer that has Excel installed on it. Also if you e-mail the document to your Gmail account (assuming you have one), you can read the Excel file via Google docs. Some of my Excel documents were created more than 20 years ago and have resided on multiple computers, both Mac and PC, so I wouldn't worry about portability.
ProCoin 2010 Software I just figured out how to add pics of my own coins in the ProCoin 2010 software
I wish I could design my own report in coin manage. It has a report writer wizard, but I can't figure out how to use it. Fortunately the reports it came with are pretty good and I dump to Excel, but I would like to be able to make my own reports.
ive now been using Coin Catalog Pro for a period of months and have to say it is GREAT. Ive saved a lot of time and frustration. I highly recommend it, way better than how I was doing things before. Add. to above list: http://www.db-pros.com/CoinCatalogPro
Just got my ProCoin 2012 software update. Nice new interface, better pics, values, and mintages.
