just got back into collecting after a 10 year break. When i started 15 years ago i completed the franklin set. I then started the peace dollar set. recently took my coins out for first time in meany years. was looking through and was wondering what these coins might grade today. my camera does not take the best pics the only coin that is dark and dirty is the 1934s peace dollar.. thanks for your time.. coins 056.jpg coins 055.jpg coins 052.JPG coins 053.jpg

Is it my imagination or are the two stars on the reverse of the Morgan different sizes? The star on the right, between DOLLAR and AMERICA seems larger.

Peace, Genuine, XF details, environmental damage... or something, it certainly wouldn't slab.

Morgan AU58... or that might just be toning/discoloration.

That Peace is ugly, and I agree with the others on it being damaged.

The Morgan; however, is not bad for an O mint, but there are marks above Liberty's eye, cheek, and bonnet. AU-MS60.

Yeah ya got that right, some kind of damage on the Peace Dollar, as far as the Morgan the reverse looks great but the obverse pic ya can't really tell. Need better pics, oh and welcome to the forum vintin33. :thumb:

Did anyone bother to look at the two stars on the reverse of the Morgan? The one on the right looks larger. Maybe I need another drink.

I think the lights playing tricks on your eyes.

I'd sure like to see an overlay of the two.

I did, but I don't see any difference in size. I think the star at the 4 o'clock position maybe be distorted from the light source.

Maybe I should switch from Coke to fruit punch. I still would like to see an overlay!

In that regard, I'm like the old 7-Up commercial.........."Never have, never will!"

I've never used any illegal drugs in my life, and I think anyone who does is just plain weak.

Eh, it's a bit off the beaten path, but what about marijuana? Given that native americans smoked it and so did several of our nations notable forefathers...

Now, unnatural drugs, that's a whole 'nother story.

    Back on topic, I suppose...

I think you are looking at a lighting effect but I might be as well because I see doubling on the reverse.
All in all, I give it a MS-63
