I'm pretty sure this is a counterfeit slab, does anybody else see way too much that looks off about this or is it just me? http://cgi.ebay.com/1909-S-VDB-LINCOLN-CENTS-PCGS-MS64-RD-/120716026713?pt=Coins_US_Individual&hash=item1c1b3c6359 It could also just be the crappy quality and the fact it's a scan...
Hmm, looks like it might actually be a flip, but I don't get why he'd use such crappy photos after HA.com took such nice ones... http://coins.ha.com/common/view_item.php?Sale_No=1153&Lot_No=3107&LotIdNo=131013&ts=on
You missed a flip in there. Whoever or what ever RLHE is also sold it. Aside from that, I saw absolutely nothing to hint to me that was a fake slab. What triggered you?
Gut instinct, I don't know. I think I'm so used to seeing photographs of the slab and not scans, and that threw me off pretty bad. I'll throw a bid at it, can't hurt... Maybe I'll get a deal!
Not counterfeit. I'm not impressed by the quality of his stuff. And I dislike that he uses shills. But his auctions are otherwise legitimate and he does have some tough coins. I have bought a few coins from him, returned one and got a refund after a few email messages and a little delay. Lance.
