Hey CoinTalkers. So I just recently registered for an account on the Hertiage Auction House online site. I was curious if they would charge sales tax for California residents(?). Will I only be charged sales tax if the original seller is from California as well, or will the Heritage auctioneers charge me the sales tax along with the 15% buyers premium when I pay for an item? Please, anyone who is experienced with this auction website, please reply to this thread. I am really interested in a couple of coins on this site, but if I am charged the 8% sales tax, I may rethink my maximum bid.

    Thanks in Advance :smile,
    Brian

As a CA resident you'll get charged CA sales tax (closer to 9%) on ANY purchase from Heritage, regardless of where the auction is held unless you have a resale license on file with Heritage before you bid OR your total invoice for the auction is over $1500.
