I decided to address some problems I have found on some of my old web pages and was never sure where to start. The first one done was embarassing since I found 3 spelling errors on the page (and wonder how many I missed). The subject was mentioned on a thread here recently so I'll give the link here. The text was very slightly modified but the photos are all new. Many of my earlier pages were made in a time when small, highly compressed images were needed since so many people had dial up modems but the number of people now with Broadband make it seem possible to increase some image clarity. I apologize to those for whom this will cause a problem with your dial up access. If anyone knows of glaring errors on any of my other pages, I would appreciate hearing about them so they might get moved up the priority list for reworking. http://dougsmith.ancients.info/feac71leo.html
It would take alot of time but have you thought about updating the whole site with new theories that may have come since it was written, studies, new photos and whatever else has changed in your eyes and ancient market in general the past 10+ years?
New photos look allot better. That might be good for the die link page, its a bit hard (for me) to see
It took me 5 years to do the site the first time so updating everything would take longer than that assuming I could find new information. Most of my books are pre 1997. That is why I thought I'd start slow on a few pages. The die link page would be a good one but not a quick one.
I can relate, I have a site on geocities and had to move to another free server. Have to change all of the links and images :/ not fun.
