I too, couldn't believe I got a response from the peeping Mark himself! Welcome to the blogging world! I'm hoping to see all of you guys at the L.A. ANA (my tables are 356 & 358). Rick and his buddy, and me and Karin are staying at the Wilshire Grand so perhaps we can get a game going in one of our rooms??

And yes, Jack and I are very good at trading money!

PennyLady, what do you think of the name Lincoln for a boy?

I like it, or may John Carl, we could call him J.C. for short. And how about Penelope for a girl or perhaps Annie, whichever you prefer.

LOL I love it! As a backup we could save Bright, middle name New! You're too funny tonight. :D

" Wilshire Grand" ???? Woo hoo, sounds pretty hootie tootie for my budget, lol. Mark and I will go back to our regular fleabag on Hollywood Blvd. and put the extra $150 a night into the poker fund;)

Look for us to pop in for 2 days...not sure when yet tho.

Not quite as hootie tootie as you think - I'm staying with Karin (Rick's assistant) and splitting the room cost with Rick so I'm only paying half of the $150! And besides, it's an ANA host hotel and I think we get extra ANA "points" for staying at the host hotel, which means when we book tables at ANA shows, the more points we have, the higher up in the table draw we get!

Just let me know which nights you'll be there and we'll work something out! Or, we can down to one of the local LA casinos (Commerce, Bicycle, Hawaiian Gardens, etc.).

Those are some very nice pieces. I haven't seen very many toned Lincolns like that, I have a few that are beautifully toned but not quite as nice as those. They almost look good enough to eat!!

Awesome and gorgeous wheat cents you got there! I collect too but mainly for fun! I found a few toned cents in my penny pile last evening so should I preserve them for fuuture numismatic endevours? Not hi-jacking this post but just curious. Seems like you would know what to do is all. :p

Great eye Charmy. It must be hard on you as a dealer/collector to decide what your going to hang on to, and what is to be inventory. Personally, i would be out of business in no time.

Thanks Mark, it is funny how some old threads get revived and I am glad you all enjoy looking at these pretty toned Lincolns. And I am happy to say that each of these little guys still happily reside in my collection!

I'd love to know why people bring these old threads up. I guess I should start checking the dates on the posts, this is the second time this has happend in the past few days.

Please people, QUIT bringing up dead threads!

I have never seen this thread until 2 days ago, when it was brought up for no reason. Looks like you didn't look at the date yourself.

I noticed it. threads with pictures are timeless. IMO of course.. Should I throw out my copys of lincoln books because I already read them, or because there are newer additions? I guess that is sort of the point I was trying to get across.

    no worries...

Well I figured that the mods didn't like these old threads to be revived like that. This is the first forum that I have been on where mods don't seem to have problems with 2, to 5 year old threads just randomly being revived. I still won't do it myself though.
