Thanks. The 3 cent is my oldest circulation find. Prior to that was a 1900-O half, my first post here at cointalk.

I have the same half! LOL found it about a month ago. It is worth 50 cents in my mind, but sure is cool to find!

Honestly, with silver at $46.60, do you really think there are many, if any, unsearched rolls ? My banker even told me that the coin companies in our area pull silver. So finding something is really lucky.

That's why you have to find a bank that gets the FED boxes.. Brinks boxes are horrible for me. Although if that one I found the ther day was a Brinks box, it was awesome!

First post, and first roll search today. 500 bucks in quarters.

The silver search was a side goal, my mother in law is making a full state quarter set for all her grandkids. 8 of them.

Anyway, I got an AR misstrike quarter, and

    A 1964-D DDO quarter:

    Want it? Totally for sale...

But yes, I was amazed. I work at a place where we manufacture optics, and I grabbed a digital microscope, and was going over the coin when I realized it was a DDO.

Found my third mercury! 1944 pulled out of a dime box today. What else did I pull out of the box? Roll upon roll upon roll of brand spanking new 2011 P BU dimes. I kept 8 rolls just because it broke my heart to pitch them. They were all perfect and shiny and pretty. The thought of them winding up grinding through a coin counter....ew I just couldn't do it.

But now....what do I do with them? I need to find them a happy home somewhere.

I just wrapped up using a coin counting machine I bought to count out $300 in cents and bag them for sale as $50 lots. My back is killing me, my ears are ringing from 4+ straight hours of clink clink clink clink... I'm never going to amass this many cents uncounted again, ever.

Worst part is, I'm not even halfway done, ugh. Hopefully I can get a bank to give me some of those heavy-duty ballistic bags to put these things in for shipping.

Got a box of halves today, skunk. Anybody have much luck with String & Sons boxes?

My best boxes of halves have always been unmarked yellow wrappers. I think they're fed boxes, I can't be sure.

I keep getting these black wrappers. They suck. The yellow wrappers have been the best for me as well.

I wonder who put these out at that time? LOL. What about that Ike...is it "toned" or gold plated? When I google that, I see there was a bicent Ike that was 24k, but I can't honestly tell. Either way, my wife is keeping it (she keeps all the Ikes regardless of quality) so it made her happy :)

    Happy hunting!

What kind of coin counting machine did you buy? I have been looking for a decent one I could rig up to put coins in my comparitor to weed out silver dimes.
