This question has probably been answered many times and if so please bear with me. When I peal off the auction house slab sticker there is glue left behind on the slab. How do I remove this glue without damaging the plastic slab? I have industrial solvents but am afraid to try them until I hear from someone who knows how do do this. Thanks
I'm a big fan of goo gone.... the orange colored liquid that smells like starburst candy. You could also use peanut butter, it works well enough and wont do damage.
I don't recommend rubbing alcohol. It can damage plastic if the % is high enough. Bestine is a product often used to remove rubber cement.
Goo Gone has worked for me. I also have plastic polish if the slab is scratched and needs a small touch up.
Thanks for your responses, Goo Gone is the consensus but I have peanut butter handy and will give it a go.
Plastic polish used to remove scratches works great for removing any remaining adhesive. PlastX is popular. Lance.
Try mineral spirits. Very gentle stuff but can even remove old duct tape dried up tracks.. I used it on critical machine part to remove adhesives using Q-Tips. Worked wonderfully.
