Looking through some silver rolls of quarters and came upon this one. At first I figured someone gauged the surface of the obverse, then when I realized the marks on the reverse are in pretty much the oposite place I started thinking this may be a manufacturing issue. What does everyone think? Part of the process or somehow created after the coin left the mint?? Any help appreciated.
post mint damage someone took a knife or a nail or some other sharp/pointy object to the coin, then it circulated for a while afterwards imo, of course
