Rusty: Maybe write to Peter also as he is involved in this too. They have to unblock the PB links so pics will display again. I'm pretty sure the problem has since passed as PB is running again without problems, but the Mods have been discussing the matter in another thread the last couple days. Stinks to have the photos blocked since it limits content on past threads and from continuing any posts via PB. Hope it gets rectified real quick.
Until this is rectified, I've been using the "Manage Attachments" in the Advanced reply box to get my pics directly from my computer for posting.
I do that sometimes too, but have most of my stuff on PB. Looks like we are just waiting for Peter to remove the image blocks now... I think Doug handled this one handily... according to his latest post in the other thread on the Virus. Should be able to post PB pics again soon.
Sorry guy,s had to go out and buy a new car today!! so have been off doing that at $3.99 a Gallon and 15.9 miles per gallon you can see my urgency!! it look,s like photobucket is up Now so i will have some notes for you to grade tomorrow
sounds good Rusty. Thanks for the heads up and hope you get a new car soon. I had to do that last year and just decided to forgo the ego and buy a Prius. I now get gas once every 3 weeks on a 10 gallon tank!
Yep that,s what i just got!! the Prius kicks major butt, i just couldnt see the point in keeping A car that get,s 15.9 Mpg and driving 70 miles a day! at now $4.10 a gallon!!
Good for you Rusty, it's worth it, it really is. I was lucky enough to find a used one at a great price also, so my car payments aren't crazy either. You just need to learn how to drive a little differently and I constantly watch that damnable MPG tracker on the screen!
Living in the city I don't own a personal car, but I've rented Prius from Hertz in the past and have been thoroughly impressed. Also drove one around Phoenix on the highway at high speed, desert hot days with the A/C running-- it performed wonderfully, easily as good as any gas-only car. Drove the heck out of that thing and only stopped to fill up once in four days of ALOT of road time. Plus, you've helped the ecology where you drive, on top of your pocketbook, and even helped the ailing Japanese economy out.
I didn't like the Prius I drove. It seemed way to small and didn't do it for me. Unlike the Honda Civic Hybrid. It seemed quite a bit alike but felt like much more room and it did pull it off for me. But we can agree that hybrid's have come a long way I bet.
Absolutely Duke, they definitely have. My Prius is a first generation one, a 2002 (one of the only ones I've seen around PA), and it has much more room than the egg-shaped ones driving around. Also, it looks like an actual small sedan. Plenty of leg room and trucnk space. I've gone about 3 weeks without a fill up and have already gone 415 miles. It's totally worth it with gas prices the way they are.
