Cracked open 2 boxes of dimes yesterday and one today........no luck on any of em. Very rare to go through 3 boxes of dime and get skunked.... Did 4 boxes of halves on tuesday and only pulled 4 40%ers and 1 64. Does anyone think that you could wave a high end metal detector over each individual roll of a box of halves to get away from not opening them. Don't get me wrong I like opening the rolls but is there a possibility? 42.00++++^^^!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Went through $1,400 in halves today...the bank that normally orders me $1,000/week had ordered next week's early...so I took what I could with cash available...

    Found:

    2 NIFC
    1 90% (whoo)
    1 40%
    1 1969S Silver Proof

Kinda fun getting that proof - makes up for the fact that I didn't find very much in those boxes...

Got another $600 waiting at the bank for me tomorrow (as soon as I take this bunch back) and two other boxes at two other banks....I can't wait to go back home and search rolls there. I always found much more than this when I had the cash...

Those are some nice wheaties, noob.

I did 4 boxes of dimes today,

    1937 (VF+, nice coin)
    1946
    1954
    1959-D
    1962-D
    1963
    1964
    1964-D

'49 Canadian, the first silver Canadian I've found in a TD Bank roll.

Also hit up a few random banks and picked up $25 in loose halves, which had 3 40%'ers and 2 1964's. Good day for me.

    bkozak,

I've found gold-plated quarters in rolls before. Don't think there's any premium on that, though. Sorry! You can always post your images and let people chime in...

Got a box of dimes today. Very first roll, about 1/3 of the way in I found a 57 dime. Then later a 64. That's about it but I'm super happy with my new supply of dimes. I think I'm going to keep going back there.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe that that has something to do with the free masons? They may have put the hole for a necklace or something

Went through $60 and pulled 3 40%'s. Im going to grab a box tomorrow and search through them. I have had decent luck with this bank but we'll see, tapping on wood with the fingers crossed.

    Merc,

Your patience with cents is amazing.. I FINALLY did one box with another in wait..

Speaking of which, does anyone have a Ryedale they want to sell? PM me if so..

If I had a Ryedale for halves.. would be game on!! I've seen the youtube vids of it in action.

Had my first decent box of cents today, haven't had one with more than 12 wheats in the last week or so. And I got some pre-40s, which was great.

22 total. No George VI Canadians, though, which was weird. Last box I only got 1, but I usually get a couple.

Got a box of halves today.....they had all been opened and put back in the box.

    GRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I hate that. Needless to say, it was a skunk. I haven't found a silver half all week........I hope I find some tomorrow.

I'd love to buy a ryedale too! And yeah, cents take patience and time... but once you get used to it... I mean, I hammer out my boxes in under 2 hours. The trick is a large, open table, a comfortable and low chair that puts your head relatively close to the surface (Maybe 1.5 feet, or less), and having your setup ready. I have a canvas bag for zincs, I use the box for coppers, and the wheats/canadians/bu's/etc get stacked separate from everything else.
    Solid box.
Good luck, dude, I've been on a tear this week, hoping it continues tomorrow morning before work.

My $20,000 find ? 1992 AM CLOSE PENNY

I hate to brag but.... my father found this last month cracking rolls
of pennies from his Local Credit Union Bank which he has been doing
for the past year. Anyways he came across a few mint errors or varieties
such as a Wide Am from 1998 or 1999 pennies and a Double Die Lincoln
worth $500....but in our condition he said it was worth $50-$100 .
Well then last month my father found a very scarce coin.
The 1992 Philadelphia "Close Am" Lincoln Cent.
I actually have a Post here on "whats it worth" topics.
Anyways we sent it to NGC and scored not only the highest grade,
but the only one graded "RED" . We got a MS 62 Red !
There have been 7 found and graded. All graded by NGC & Pgcs.
    AU 55 Brown (2 graded) / AU 55 Red Brown / AU 58 Brown (3 graded)
Then our coin Mint State 62 Red.
Ken Potter said in a story that a High AU grade (AU58) is
worth over $10,000 . So our coin is worth way more than that
since its the only red - mint state one graded.
So far only the AU 55 Brown (lowest graded one) sold for $4,830 in Jan 2009.

We are very fortunate to find such a great coin.
Is this one of the best finds heard here ?

The broker wasn't really referring to credit score as much as she said she felt like a branch of the IRS or SBI with the deposit and withdrawal research they have to for mortgage loans now. For EACH account, they have to track deposit to withdrawals and see they match up to prove they down payments are coming from you and not gifted. She eluded that she felt like "they" were tracking money laundering and tax evaders. So ultimately she said DO NOT open multiple accounts right now, wait till you're in your new home.

On the message Agent, I sent one back to you talking about BB&T and dump banks.....didn't get it?

501.5$ in halves from 3 banks

    5 40%
    1 64

and 18 rolls of mint-wrapped NIFC (2001 - 2009) in original packaging! Someone must have bought them from the mint (which charges a premium), and then deposited them (or their children after they died).

    My gain :D
