My week report (so far):

I found 27 CWR of halves today from two different banks......SKUNK
I did one box of dimes: 1 46 and 1 64 This is my first bank wrapped box of dimes that produced more than one silver roosie.

I also found a 1972-S proof dime. Pretty cool.

Merc, that is a crack up that the FBI came to see you......

27 CWR? WOW, was it another dump bank? That is a VERY high number not to have any silver...

Weekly halves report..

4 boxes, 4-40% coins. Kinda disappointed after my run last week. For those who are interested, ordered my 2012 red book from wizard coin supply for 7.48 for spiral bound via PREORDER

Also got the DANSCO Kennedy half album with proofs.. I need to get rid of these Whitman make your thumbs numb folders..

No, Erin, it was the Wells Fargo north that both you and I have found nice silver finds in CWR before. When they brought out 24 CWR (I found 3 at a different bank), I was VERY excited. How disappointing it was to have it be a skunk....

 

I had a fun find yesterday. I am a school teacher, and my students are currently doing a fundraiser. I have to count a LOT of change when they turn in their money and naturally I check all the coins for anything good. Yesterday I pulled out some dimes that had been turned in and turned them sideways to count out a dollar and sure enough there was the silver side staring back at me. 1962. Not much, but I just love to find these silver coins.

Did another box of cents yesterday. Decent amount of copper for the hoard. Found a 1993 D thats "different". Posted the pic in the Error Coins section.

 

$40 in dimes again today, nothing. $10 in CWR nickels found a 1942-S, made my day! It's my first silver find in a long time!

 

$50 in BWR of Halves - Skunk.

 

Went in today to get another box of halves from my bank, as they said they had a couple last time I went in to buy one.
And what do you know? Somebody else came in yesterday and got that box of halves.
I had them order me a box for next week, but still...
It looks like I have competition. It's too bad.

Went to my local BofA to see what they had (I go once a week, one of the tellers holds stuff for me if she sees anything) and my regular teller smiled and waved me over as I walked in. She said she had been finding good stuff all week long and was waiting for me. I picked up 3 silver roosies, 5 mercs, 2 silver quarters, 1 '45 P war nickel, and 2 1937 buffalo nickels....all for face value. Needless to say, I went out and bought her lunch today. It's really nice to find nice tellers like that. And no, the buffalos aren't 3-legged, that would have been too amazing. haha.

 

Found 1 1964 Half Dollar in the tellers Tray today glad I found it

 

Yesterday I found a 1968 half and 18 regular Ike dollars, one of which was painted gold.
