I compared mine to the example on wexler and variety vista I think it’s good for the fs 101 but that might be cause I want it to be. The die markers are a match though. Can you guys help me out?
Sure. I don't see any Doubling here. Here is what it should look like. http://varietyvista.com/09b WQ Vol 2/DDO Detail Pages/1965PDDO003.htm
With Variety's and error's Condition is key, This variety would be hard to identify even in an AU condition. Your coin has seen more than it's fair share of circulation, (maybe VF) that I don't think it would have any premium. Even if you could find the markers. I don't see any doubling, just a beat-up quarter.
General Comment: A number of DDs that I see listed are so minor, I have difficulty seeing what's placed in the descriptions at these sites. The link Sal provided is a classic example. What class of doubling? 1? 2? 4? 7? Wexler does better to declare class which is in my mind, essential in the diagnostic. That said, I don't see DDO in the OP's specimen. Perhaps a bit of MD still showing in the E of LIBERTY but not Wexler's WDDO-001, unfortunately.
It is in the description The one that sal posted is a combination of class lV shifted hub doubling and class Vlll tilted hub doubling. At the top of the page Kevin. 1965 DDO-003, 3-O-IV+VIII
Thanks PandG. I never noticed that they put the details in the header. I've always looked for it in the body of the description.
