Here's the last one for tonight. 18-S Truth be told, the luster sucks. The coin has a nice strike, though. Grade it for the fans!

Im going to say to say a solid XF40 on this one. On a previous post of yours, which was the 17-P I gave a very generous grade of XF45, the reverse eagle had bolder chest feathers, but sadly, this coin does not. So, XF40 (Maybe on a bad day for a TPG, VF35). Still a b-e-a-utiful coin for the earlier year. :)

everyone of them has that cleaned look to them. I don't think they can be graded. It's a shame somebody ruined this once nice high grade set.

No cleaning that I detect. It looks like the coin was scanned, which can sometimes (to an unexperienced numismatist or a consumer who has never purchased a coin from an online auction), make it look as if the coin had been cleaned. I don't believe that to be the case in this situation. A better photograph would be nice though, mikenoodle. :)

I recommend you read my reply to "rlm's cents" statement about the coin being cleaned.

Any coin can be graded. If you mean will PCGS slab these coins, probably not on the best of days. By the same token, it will be much harder to figure out what an expert would grade them, so I am soliciting opinions here.

and yes, it is indeed a shame. These coins were really really nice when they were toned, I bet.

Nope, they're right. These coins have lost almost all of their luster due to improper cleaning. These photographs were taken with a DSLR and the reason that the luster looks like crap is because the luster looks like crap. LOL A better photograph is highly unlikely. The coins have a flat, rather frosted look to them just like in the pictures.
