Outstanding baha! I am building an MS/Proof Franklin collection in a Littleton Album this year (my 2011 resolution). Steve
haha,, yup, a flick of my grizzly (tobacco dip) must have got on the slab ... terrible habbit. Sellers pics were actually pretty good also (unfortunately)... $ sgiorgis, good decision imo, and I'll likely go after the MS versions after I get the few last remaining prfs knocked out.
no idea. picture was taken under natural light (by window at mid-day on a chair). The coin was not exposed to any artificial light, only sunlight buffered through a cloud or two.
However, I'd still place this one right behind big BLUE within my franky toner prf set (still a work in progress). For what's it's worth, nice franky toner proofs are insainly hard to find. Our local toner expert (shane) has posted a couple of times that these are fairly common, but as someone who's been working on this set for around a year now I can "STRONGLY" disagree (and that's after adding one of Shane's to my set, the only one I've seen him offer in the past year). For every 1,000 toned morgan dollars I see, I see one toned franky prf,,, and a "nice" toned franky prf is even harder to find, most are middle of the road in toner attraction.
I would imagine if these were unpacked and I take them down to the beach, set them on the deck for the summer, I could introduce 50 or so toners. they have been saran wrapped and boxed tight for most of their lives. I didn't pay close attention the last time I looked at them, but I remember being disappointed that the franklins had toned some. What concerned me more was that the way the sleeves were stapled together would be conducive to the coins next to each leaving marks on each other if the boxes are jostled around.
