It's either the SBA Obverse or the Ike Dollar obverse. If I were left with one to choose, I'd probably choose the Ike to be the ugliest.
Yep Coinguy, Ike is not going to win a beauty contest. But, in my opine the beautiful reverse saves the coin from the worst.
I agree. I think the SBA obverse is the worst...especially when you consider the Liberty design that was ejected in favor of the SBA.
That's how I feel about the Kennedy Half. I don't feel the obverse is ugly I just think it's a very boring design. Much like the Roosevelt dime. But the reverse of the Kennedy half is beautiful, especially in a high grade.
i know i'll get boos and hisses for this but... my least favorite design is the morgan dollar. imo, it's very plain. barber coins come in a close second.
To me the idea of a commemorative for that event is disgusting. You don't commemorate tragedies. They are days that are supposed to live in infamy. I suppose there are other sides to the argument, but it just does not sit well with me.
Had no idea that a topic in this forum is about non-US coins as well. Anyway ... A German €10 collector coin from 2002, celebrating 50 years of (regularly broadcast) television. Here for example http://www.muenzauktion.com/pollandt/pic/artid13096_combined.jpg is a larger image, but it does not really get any better. Christian
SBA dollar. Looks like a commemorative to spinsterhood. And I don't even know if she was married or not.
I love franklin halves and I like the SBA quite a bit too, the coin I really dont like is the 1999 jefferson nickel
