D'oh! I've got to learn to proof read before hitting the enter key. I meant First Spouse.

I'd like to hear your opinions of these. What do you think the future may hold for them?

I've been buying the annual set of these each year. Definitely a much cheaper alternative to buying the gold examples!! Not sure if these will ever get huge demand in the future from coin collectors since they are medals and not coins, but I think the 2007 set has already increased in value somewhat.

Love 'em! Got 'em all! If you also want high-grade slabbed examples, the reason PCGS pop reports so many more 69s than NGC is that, with this series at least, PCGS has broad and varied grading standards. I will no longer buy PCGS spouse medals out of hand.

I think the title is funny. I wonder who actually was the first souse in the White House - husband or wife!

I know Grant had a reputation for being a drunkard when he was in the military. Whether he went on the wagon or not I do not know.

The Pres. Warren G. Harding dollar coin is scheduled for release in 2014.

He had his own personal bootlegger during Prohibition.

Not president. souse. like the first spouse is not president, the first dog is not president, first daughter(s) etc... :p

Sorry for not being a little more specific. It was one of those instances where I took it for granted that everyone would understand that the person lived in the White House. With that said, I will forgive you because you are a foreigner. LOL!

Haha thanks... yeah I was just joking around anyway. Who knows, I bet Benny crashed on the sofa in the red room after at least one night of hard partying :D

Good trick if he could do it considering he died in 1790 and the White House wasn't built til 1800.

Sorry, I must have been thinking of Jimmy Carter. You know, when he was pictured with all the other presidents on the 10,000 dollar bill.
