Coin Nudity

    I'm looking at some high grade 19th century coins lately and I must admit, these coins give new meaning to the Victorian age.

    Are there body parts on these coins. I think you can see the navel on the SAINT GAUDENS, and on the Seated Liberties. If I'm not mistaken, they also altered the standing liberty quarter at one time.

    I knew it would eventually get to this. You guys have been cloistered with your coin collections too long. You have just got to stop the coin fondling. It diminishes the value of the coins and it's my understanding the the Department of Homeland Security is looking into the problem.

    By "eeew" I assume you are referring to the unpleasant image on the obverse of that coin.
