I need help i dont what this old coin is

    I have a old coin no year very worn it has a cross and other stuff i cant make out.the
    other side it has two torches and rigt had side l p z going down and 8 between the two torches on the left had side a m a i going down and 3 wavy lines under it. i look evey on
    internet and cant find anything on it if you can help me thank you i took pics of it.

    To post your photo click on advanced, manage attachments, & select the file on your computer & click upload files. I can't help identify the coin without a photo. We need to know the size of the coin & type of metal (copper, silver, gold etc).

    i dont know what it is made of it is magnetic it is little over 1 inch it is yellowish

    It is a fake (copy) of a Spanish colonial 8 escudos.

    Agreed, also known as pillar dollars. Being magnetic proves it is a copy, since the originals were made of silver, which is not magnetic.

    The Chinese have made massive amounts of these over the years, selling them off as fakes.

    Yes Pillar dollars were silver, but escudos were gold.

    I have the same exact thing. My dad got it somewhere and we drop them on the beach near people metal detecting ;)
