Wow, that almost seems like a joke. There's nothing to it. "Okay guys I have 1 Rupee on the design now. What else should I put on it?" "Hmmmm...looks okay to me [:thumb:]"....."That's perfect!"
When I click there, I get message "You do not have permission to access this document." Is it something about me? Do I have to join some club to see the picture?
I won't say ugly, but I will say Boring, the Barber Half, The Barber Quarter, The Barber dime.... Steve
Every dang US coin with a president on it, especially the dime. The US destroyed the beauty of our coins by putting all of the dead white men on them.
No kidding, that one is terrible. The Canadian mint is also making some commemoratives of Prince Charles, William and Harry that are just as bad too. I don't mind the Barber designs - but I really hate the Gobrecht obverses, they look goofy to me.
I used to hate barbers and SL coins, but in high grades they are a beautiful coin. Its not the coin design's fault they were worn so much. Collect them as the designer intended them to be viewed, (not MS necessarily, but a nice XF and both are pretty. Now, to me, a roosevelt is ugly in every grade. Kennedy's and especially Ikes are horrid wastes of space on the coin, and just ugly.
Just about anything struck by the US Mint in the last few decades. After 2 years of inspiring designs on the Lewis & Clark Bicentennial nickels, who's responsible for us ending up with the same boring reverse that's over 70 years old, and an effigy on the obverse that makes Jefferson look like an old schoolmarm? And I won't even count those 1960s gas station token designs they're using for the dollar coins. Useless and ugly.
Well the 1816 shilling with Georgie III looks an awful lot like Littlebit's 10 pence. Gawd these 2 are ugly. :dead-horse:
You'd think after 1200 years the Brits would have figured out that after a certain age, the monarch's head just gets uglier.
