I have a relationship with my LCS and I can get MS-70 slabbed silver eagles from various grading companies (NGC, PCGS,ANCAC,IGC) for 40 flat. I've been buying a few a week. How did I do?
I am an old school guy that has been buying ASE’s for bullion stacking for years and have watched the recent popularity of slabbed ASE’s with some interest. While they aren’t my cup of tea, I don’t discount the popularity of these pieces in recent years. The interest for these has been growing by leaps and bounds and I don’t see them cooling off any time soon. I think you did alright and if their popularity keeps climbing, you may have yourself a small windfall in a few years. Speculating can be fun. Even more fun when it’s affordable speculating!
40s fine for a slabbed NGC 2019. The prices have very big variations by company and year so other than that theres no way to say what the price should be in general
If I can get it, should I scoop up the slabbed MS 70 ASE's that are from secondary grading companies like ANCAS or ICG?
It's Anacs, I wouldn't have a problem If I saw them in hand. Otherwise, be weary of a 70 on the secondary market. Don't buy either of them without a return option, if on Ebay.
