The day started with me finding three more blank quarter planchets! (posted in another thread) This would have been enough but then one of my regular customers came into the restaurant today with a small jar of coins and asked if I was interested in them. A quick glance and I said "Yes!!!" I figured out the value and he said all he wanted was $150. and lunch. I agreed. Melt value is $161.69. He said he has a lot more that he'll bring to me in the next couple of weeks. Here's the silver part of it: This is the rest:
What if he brings you an 1889-CC Morgan in MS64? Are you going to treat him to lunch in the Bahamas? and Hawaii? and Tahiti? and and and........ Chris
this happened to my mom today kinda, lady was going to go to the bank with old coins but she stopped her, so now we have a 1922 s peace dollar, and the rest was kinda junk but it was well worth the value (my mom paid face for it)
