Pry resistant? Is that like the old "water resistant" they would put on cheap watches.

"Oh crap, my watch stopped, and I only took a shower." "Well you should have paid extra and gotten waterproof."

Plus, 14" deep? Think about that for a second? 75 lbs? My wife said she could carry that.

The coins that come with it look like spendable money to me. Minus the 90% half which is worth a little north of $13.... so around $65 in coins.

These people have been around for a long time now and from what I have read about them... and from the people who bring in their "Vault Sealed" coin hoards into my shop.... STAY FAR AWAY.

I bet thieves even leave these safes behind... I wonder how long it takes a pro to crack one of these safes.... anyone want to take the over under? I'd guess less then 2 minutes.

I agree Matt.. probably kick it off the back tailgate of a pickup and it would open. I just purchased a collection and in it were about 200 Morgans, Several "special Limited edition" books full of this companies garbage. State Quarters glued to pretty cardboard, Presidential Dollars TAPED to cardboard, etc.. The guy did ok on the Morgans. He paid almost 9 grand for his collection of Painted Quarters, books with Prez Dollars and state quarters, and a few other odds and ends from this and other companies.. on the 9 Grand investment. He netted $233.25. I told him to use the cardboard for a fire starter and spend the coins. Seen receipts where he paid $17.95 + $2.00 shipping PER PAGE.. he netted .25 cents for a circulated state quarter. I did keep a few of them as I am going to give a talk at the local coin club on how seniors are being targeted by these types of sellers. This guy actually thought he was buying from the US Government. The TV shops are no better, they are targeting the same group.

Wonder how long its going to take for people to realize Santa Claus does not collect coins nor control the market, its being ran by big fish in the sea with huge teeth.

There is a lot to be said about using credit cards. But be careful, when using a Debit CC. Some places are charging an extra fee which you don't know about until you review your bank statement. This has happened to me on two different occasions. I have been told that the extra $4 is like an insurance until they verify the balance and receive full payment. I disputed a $100 charge, which $3 was also added. My bank put $103 in my account, conducted the investigation and when the original $103 was refunded, my bank took their money back. I lucked out on that one...

It's to make the safe look like an old time safe not to make it secure...

They also make a tamper proof hinge. The pin is two piece. It is inserted from both ends and it screwed together. It has an unreversable slot on one of the pin heads for installation. You would need to open the safe and undue the hinge plates for removal.

justval420 - I am the Executive Assistant to the President of the World Reserve Monetary Exchange. Please call me directly at 330-244-4121 and we would be happy to issue you a refund. You may also email me at MSnyder@TheWorldReserve.com. You paid $298 for your collection and the safe was free. If a customer decides they want to keep the safe, but return the coins, then they are charged the full price for the safe which is $436. If you return the coins and the safe you would receive a full refund as per our 90 day guarantee. I apologize that there appears to have been a misunderstanding but please rest assured that I will do whatever I can to make sure that this is resolved for you.

The item you are referring to is limited in mintage to 1,500 worldwide. This is a Proof Kruggerrand and you can read the same information at the South African Mint's site which verifies that this is, in fact, correct information.

    Thanks!

    Welcome Mandi.

Hopefully you can make this gentleman whole again.

Who manufactures the safe's that you folks are selling anyway?

We have several manufacturers of our safes but they are all made to our specifications. I have to be honest that it can be frustrating when I see these one sided discussions about our company on sites and there is a lot of misinformation being spread. Our mission is to exceed customers' expectations and I try to achieve this on a daily basis by doing all that I can to make sure that our customers are satisfied. In this case, all I need is a phone call from this gentleman. I will even send him a pre-paid label to return his coins and arrange a time for the safe to be picked up. His shipping charges were free so he would receive a full refund of the entire purchase price once we receive our items back at our warehouse.

    That's fair enough.

Unfortunately, I do believe your marketing is deceptive and your safe products are not a value compared to the competition....in fact, they are very over-priced.

And that is why as a consumer, you have the choice to purchase or not purchase items from a company. My grandmother collects Cat's Meow houses. They are small wooden houses that are painted and have a small black cat on each of them. They run about $14-$40 per house for wood and paint that costs less than $1. This is not something I would ever buy, but she adores them. You know the saying, "something is worth what someone is willing to pay for it." It is the same thing with items like Abercrombie & Fitch jeans. They cost about $70 a pair and probably contain less than $3 worth of denim. Again, this is not something I consider a value so I don't shop there....but I know plenty of people who happily pay this price to have their logo'd apparrel.
I believe that we provide our customers excellent products, value, and service. Some people appreciate that they don't have to go out searching for newly minted coins and like that they can be confident that each coin will be shipped as soon as it has been released. Please do not mistake my comments as marks against A&F or Cat's Meow. I understand that there are many costs associated with running a business that the consumer does not see. For example, our employer offers us a very nice benefit plan and we are paid fair wages that allow us to support our families -- these and many other things affect the pricing of a particular product. Surely, no one on this forum is naive enough to believe that a company could sell an item for a little above cost and continue to be in business for long. We aren't the US Government after all. ;)

On a serious note, if it happened to me I would send it back and tell them my 10yr old son is the one who ordered it and ship it back to them. If you don't have any kids, go have an attorney write a letter on your behalf=$75 dollars tops and of course you have to pay shipping but it may be cheaper. good luck!!
