Coin found in turkey

    Hello i found this coin in central turkey (konya)
    View attachment 116170 ( I think its hercules the boy)
    I would really like to know what this is. To be honest i dont think its a coin more like a medal.
    The coin is heavy, Iam black smidt but i have no idea what metal it is
    I have heard alot of rumours about this coin, and i have try to searce for it on the internet but with no luck.
    I hope your could help me outside there

    Interesting. Take it to a coin shop or get a Turkish coin guide.

    Judging by the letters and design, it seems like a Greek medal, not a coin.

    As for the inscriptions, they're all Greek to me. :p

    Was this a metal detector find?

    When I first saw the post, I thought that someone had found a coin inside a bird.

    I was trying to get some water from a well, (in Turkey) and there was the coin i mean medal sorry. I did not use metal detector.

    Guys i really want to thank your for helping me out, iam not interesting in money, only history.

    Nice find. Must be great to live in Asia minor, so many chances to find ancients. All we have around here are squaw holes and arrowheads.
