Evening folks. What I have here is a British 1926 One Penny (composition is Bronze). I believe this coin could be quite valuable, depending on grade. Unfortunately, being a rookie, I'm not any good at grading. Could you good folks lend me a hand here?

Scan I took isn't the most flattering, since there are some finer details that didn't show up well, but it's the best I can do.

    Thanks in advance!

Im not really good at grading either, unless its MS lol, However from what ive learned, dings and nicks like the one below the left of the date will only get it a genuine.

Thanks for the input.;) What exactly does it mean when a coin is labeled a genuine?

I think this coin could be graded anywhere from 30-40.

Genuine would just mean the coin is real not a fake.

Like if you get it graded by Pcgs it wont say f-40 it will just say genuine.

    Hi Craig,
Your coin is not valuable, there are two versions of the 1926 penny one with a modified effigy.
    Yours is the other.
Under British grading standards I would grade it Fine.
The shield and Britannia are very worn.

Thanks for clearing things up. I read that there were two versions, but I wasn't sure what the difference was between the two.
