Jello from the pics MS-63 , I have a feeling your pics are making some small srapes stand out too much in that case MS-64 , still a nice coin .

Mind if I play devils advocate? I'm going with MS details, cleaned. I hope I am wrong, which most of the time, I am! Or its a MS 63 if its not cleaned.

I can't tell - the glare and the pictures sure do make me think cleaned also. Probably just the pictures.

    Angelo,

To me, this coin looks like it has been cleaned. There are just too many scratches and scrapes for this coin to be as white as it is. I can't see it as a problem-free specimen - MS Details - Improperly Cleaned.

I think it's an MS64. No wear, minimal bag marks. Strike is a bit weak for a 1881, but overall its a very nice coin.

Don't think this coin was cleaned , if it was it was lightly dipped which a lot of Morgans are . NGC had it in hand so if it was it was market acceptable . Look at all the GSA Morgans some are cleaner than Jellos coin and they definately weren't dipped .

PCGS usually weighs the obverse more than the reverse, right? I'd say MS63 on the obverse and MS61 for the reverse, netting MS62/63.

    646464 because of the chatter

I think the great luster has it looking like it was maybe cleaned, I think it's just a great amount of cartwheel luster and not dipped at all.

Maybe so, but the '81-O is known for having an average strike, not a weak strike. Not all O mint coins are known for being weakly struck. Some dates are even known for being very well struck.
