The Coin Show episode 16 is now available and instead of just making an announcement this time, I wanted to ask people to comment if they listen or not, what they like/dislike about the show and any ideas that you'd like to hear or ways that you think we can make the show better.

Please feel free to give your opinions!!!

And feel free to enjoy the new show on the embedded player on this page or you can download it at iTunes or at our website: www.coinshowradio.com

First time listening to the show. I listened to episode 15. Very informative to me being a new coin collector. Thanks.

I haven't listened to every episode but I've listened to several of them.

As a suggestion - ask your listeners what topics they would like to hear discussed. From me - call Dave Bowers and set up an interview. I'm pretty sure he'd agree. Discuss today's grading standards and get pointers from him on what to look for in a quality coin.

I'd love to have Mr. Bowers on.

Can you put me in touch with him? PM me? I have seen him around the show circuit and have wanted to introduce myself... but I seem to always catch him when he's in the middle of something so I choose to just wait for another time.

it was a really good show. Very good discussion on the use of technology within the numismatic field. Definitely a must listen for anyone who is interested in this subject.

Listened to the show as always. You guys hit a very good and interesting subject (technology). What I like is that you guys bring something new to the show all the time.

What I wish I heard (IMO, to make it better) would be a little more on different topics such as, in depth detail about error coins, same with toning or get a person like Shane, Paul or The Penny Lady to talk on your show, when coin shows are upcoming and so on, just to keep it more informative (if you know what I mean).

Also, making more fun of Carlton is icing on the cake as always. :D

I would like to integrate a coin show schedule to the website... but I don't have the time at this point to collect the data and keep it updated... I need an intern. HA!

Mike , I suggested the Interview with D.Q. awhile back. I'm certain you will find him accommodating . Another interesting subject would be a segment on the subject of " Numismatic Literature .

I love your show. I've listened to the first 15 episodes, a couple of them more than once. I watch for the new episodes on Coin Talk and will listen tonight for episode 16. I especially liked your interview with Daniel Carr. An interview with David Bowers would be exceptional. It would be really cool if you could get an interview with former Mint Director Ed Moy. I would love to hear him explain his decision on some of the hot topics over the past couple of years. We hear the other side but I'd love to hear his side.

I have listened to all of them and prefer the interview segments and any discussion that does not mention current mint NCLT product (especially hockey pucks). Of course I'd like more (anything) on ancient, medieval, early world and other coins made to serve as money as opposed to things made to be sold to collectors. IMHO: If no one ever spent it, it is not a coin.

We have been asked to cover ancient coins a few times now... It's a vast area of collecting... of which none of us have a great deal of knowledge. I have a beginners knowledge of ancients and I don't think either Mike or Carlton know them at all.

I am currently looking for a guest to interview on the subject... but I need to make sure we don't make a 4 hour show... and just scratch the surface. Your request haven't fallen on deaf ears... I promise.

I usually listen as soon as they show up on my itunes, but fell behind and haven't listened to 15 or 16 yet. I think a segment on a different coin series each episode and maybe a way to find decent reference material for the series. For example, my favorite U.S. coin designs are the Draped bust series, but other than knowing I need to fatten my wallet before I start collecting them, I am in the dark. I also think that the interviews are fantastic and Q.D. Bowers would be really cool. Other dealers and specialist that frequent this forum would be nice to hear as well. Maybe Mark Feld, Shane, or Todd at BlueCC to talk numismatic Photography. Anyway I hope you guys keep it up they have all been really great.

I am not too sure just how to do it, but I do not think that you can spend too much time on counterfeits.

OMG LOL! Thank you Doug! LOL I really needed that laugh! Seriously... I have been trying to get people to tell us what they want since almost day 1. I ask almost every show for people to e-mail us or post on our Facebook page. We have basically had to beg people to contact us. I welcome any suggestions, etc., in fact I have really learned a lot from this thread alone.

I was hoping that by creating this thread I would spark some discussion between us and the teeming tens that listen. ;)

Doug, there are very few people that would make me "starstruck", but Q. David Bowers might be one of them. I am rarely speechless, but he's someone that I would have to speak to for a few minutes before I interviewed him just to settle my own nerves!

I've listened to all the shows...currently listening to show 16 on my way in to clinicals every morning. Being an hour and some minutes it may take me all week, but I do listen. As for suggestions here are my two cents:

1.) I may be the only one, but having the hockey pucks in the news almost every show gets old.
2.) Maybe make a segment featuring certain aspects/history of any one of the multitude of coin series.
3.) Keep making fun of Carlton (sorry, Carlton)...makes for good comedy.
