My 2 cents I would say the are of a proof strike are 50%.due to visiting King & head of state in1892&1893 I sure some had coins given to them as gifts. but proving that fact would be very hard. the facts lean more to Prooflike .
I saw two of those at the ANA show as well, but they didn't look as nice as the Columbian proofs I was able to see. still pretty cool though. I have read somewhere (can't remember which book) that there were 103 1892 proofs struck. I think they were the first 100 coins struck, the 400th coin, the 1492nd coin and the 1892nd coin. The rest were business strikes. I have read the same thing about a mintage of 103 for the Isabella quarter proofs. I don't remember any exact numbers for the 1893 proofs, the Redbook just says approximately 100 proofs were struck for each date (p. 278 of 2011 edition).
