Today's show was the largest show that I've been to. I wanted to make it a point to get there on the first day, so I could choose from fresh inventory that hadn't been picked over yet. I got all the coins/supplies that I had set out to get; and I was able to get everything for less than I had expected to pay. Most notably an 1883 Racketeer Nickel in MS condition...I was willing to pay up to $100 and got a PCGS MS63 for $45. And a PCGS MS64FBL 1957-D Franklin Half for $20 and a PCGS MS63 1944 Walking Liberty Half for $38 and a bunch of supplies like Dansco albums and slab pages for way less than I could on ebay.

The show was overwhelming, I tried to peruse each table, but I know I missed some. I've never seen more gold in my entire life! Everything from record-sized nuggets, to bars, bullion, and coins. I saw ancient relics (like figurines, charms, etc), and even saw old pocket watches.

I met Todd (blu62vette) at the show. He taught the Fundamentals of Digital Photography courses. Todd was a really cool guy who offered a lot insight to imaging coins. I was blown away by how mobile his "photography studio" was...he had his full setup onsite in his booth and it only took up about a 2.5 x 2.5ft. footprint!

One day is definitely not enough. For those of you that haven't gone, you're in for a real treat!
