Just got this one today. Got it on Ebay. VAcookey got a nicer one today as well from the same guy. The toning circles the entire coin even though I cant get that to show in the pic. New camera. Its a beautiful coin.

smoker, that one looks polished to me as being a 87 it's a common date. I personally would not have gotten that one as a good one in high grade would not be much more if any.

Ummmmm, what?????? I'm not sure how it being a common date has anything to do with having been polished. Trust me, its not. Its an AU50, and its was a whole of 40 bucks.

I did not mean to say that it looked polished because of the date. It looks polished because of the shiny, round edges of the coin. Being Au does not stop a coin from being polished but if sent in for grading it will stop it from getting anything but "details". It may be the lighting but just trying to give you a heads up.
As for the date I was just saying for $40 bucks you could get a graded one that you know is the right coin for the grade.

OK, I gotcha now. The edges arent as rounded as they look in the pics. And a graded Morgan for less than 40 bucks???? Please tell me where.

Picked this up during the week, went looking for just a chunk
of silver to add to the stack and this one caught my eye
for some reason I like the New Orleans Morgans.
