if I had a scanner I would scan it, but alas I do not. That is about as good as it will get unfortunately! His friend is a coin dealer so that is were he bought it from.

I suppose this will qualify as a recent purchase.

PCGS uses Apparent, and PMG uses Net.

I heard once from a fellow collector that when a note comes back with either one of these, it's like the note came back in a body bag.

I bought a nice variety of world notes including two assignat notes (circa 1793).

    Here's today's finds:

Here's some better scans of my newest note, though it didn't scan the bottom margins for some reason:

Here is the only note issued by the Khammer Rouge communist in Cambodia. (Killing Fields) and a note from the killing fields of the ill fated government of Biafra. L'est we forget.:( IMG_9430.jpg IMG_9432.jpg IMG_9431.jpg IMG_9433.jpg

Exquisite! I really love that architectural arch framing the boating history diorama.

Nice haul! I particularly am interested in the Assignat notes and am curious was the shapes are that make up the portrait on the Israeli note. Looks like you had no trouble scanning this one either.

Much better looking! Try placing a black or dark sheet of paper behind the note, and center the note in the scan bed (or place it away from the edges of the scanner). This may help the margins from getting cut off and define them better too.

Nice find, Dr Kegg … Those $20 look crisp. Wish I had a million of them.

Been a little lazy with my note collection lately, with all this silver hype stealing the stage, thanks for the kick start.

I’ve seen those Brazilian notes before, but always with the devaluation counter stamp on their face, NICE

I've been looking for this one for a long time and I finally got it!

For those not familiar with the note, the back plate number should be 1905, but the engraver accidentally omitted the leading 1 and the number is 905.

I agree with Rusty, nice pickup Clay. I've been looking for the 1974 Kansas City Star version for some time.
This Philadelphia Deuce is my latest......I know finding a 0000 leading 76 Star is not rare, but it's still a cool note.
