So I have my last set of 5 ASE bullions dated 09 and 10 listed for sale, $200 out the door, and I get this email from someone interested in them:

    My reply:

Sure, these are 1 oz. .999 fine silver bullion coins produced by the U.S. Mint in 2009 and 2010. These are currently in flips, not graded and I do not guarantee any grade to them.

Secondly, since silver is currently $36.28 and ounce, I seriously doubt you can buy these off eBay for less than spot price as the FMV is $3-$4 over spot price, which is what I am asking for them.

I'm sorry but I will not be selling these for less than my asking price, and the sale is for all 5, not singles.

    Let me know.

So I get this last reply from him:

My ad clearly states, NO ONE UNDER 18 WILL BE DEALT WITH. IF YOU ARE UNDER 18 YOUR PARENTS MUST PURCHASE THESE ON YOUR BEHALF AND THE SALES RECEIPT WILL BE IN THEIR NAME(S).

    Unreal!

He has no idea, I say your pricing is pretty good. These sell around $40 each ATM, so $40x5=$200

These are only bullion eagles, not the burnished or proofs, so only value really is melt, unless you were to submit them and they happen to hit the MS70 jackpot.

We'd run into people like this all the time at my old antiques store.....

    Customer- "How much is that?"

    Me- "$100"

Customer- "That's outrageous! The store down the street sells them for $75!"

    Me-
    "Then you should buy his."

    Custome
r- "He's out of stock. He doesn't have any."

    Me
    - "Well, when we're out of stock ours are only $50."

Usually at this point they blurt out an obscenity.:D

I'd ignore messages like that with a chuckle, but that last one's over the top enough to be worth reporting to eBay. Brat (or brat impersonator) is more than old enough to learn a life lesson.

Yes, they are Legal Tender US Mint coins. Unfortunately the mint makes then $1 coins, so if silver becomes worth less than $1 were gonna have more problems than trying to spend them.

    My reply would be

Dear Sir, lets both make some money then. Since silver spot is $36.28, you buy all you can on eBay for $30 each and I'll pay you $33 for them
