I hope this picture turns out as I have labeled some of the errors I can find, but see others I need help with. I see die cracks (one is big), and lots of others. I will appreciate all help and hope my questions are clear. See the picture which has the questions noted. I am so glad you are here to help me learn. Thank you for all your expertise. :hail:

thank you for looking. I am going to try to put up a bigger picture, but can't seem to get them big enough for others even though they look big to me on the screen. When I mouse over the small ones and then click on them, they are big here. I'll try again. Thank you.

Its large don't get me wrong just not large enough for me to clearly see everything. :)
I can however tell you that this damage did in fact occur at the mint. Did you find this in change or roll searching?

I'm still working on that picture I believe this penny came from some rolls, but I'm not sure as lots of my change gets mixed in as I search through things. Stay tuned for the new picture...

What exactly do you think this coin is, out of curiosity?

I really don't know what to make of this coin or what to call the other errors I see.

All I see is a nice die break and some gnarly machine doubling.

That might be an interesting one. Can you post a pic of the obverse? There's a possibility it could be a counterclash but the real experts would have to see it to give you a better answer.

The first give away that the die is deteriorating is the die cracks, the rest could be a result of the deteriorating die. Nothing I see to get excited about. IMHO

as I am learning, any time I actually find and verify an error, I am happy :)

thank you so much for the link. I am glad I did not give up:) I am going to get some sleep and then get the penny out to verify the best I can. It will be a great start to Monday morning :)

I honestly dont think it's anything more than what other posters already have stated. If you think it's something then send it to James Wile (sp?) before getting it graded..better to spend $5 knowing exactly
what it is before spending $50 and hoping you got something. Also most TPG will charge extra to find the die variety too.

thank you for the good advice. I just want to check it out against the Wexler information to see how it compares (link provided 3-11-11). Believe me, i don't ignore advice from all of you. You all know way more than me. I am just following up on the new information provided :)
