First of all. Every 88 and 88D had a wide AM.
So, I would just eliminate that as one of the PUP's.
The G has to be flared. Look at the examples on VV. The G has a distinct look, it is smaller and much more defined.
There are 7 different rev dies for the Philly, and 3 for the Denver. It's very minor and hard to Identify when in mid to late die stages.
You will have to use die markers to identify it.

Yes I had read it was nothing to do with the AM. I kept staring at it. But yes all WAMs but has read about the FG. Thank you. I will read up on that one as well.

Yours is a RDV-005 - the normal version
with the wide AM(RDV-006) notation. basically there is no close AM(RDV-007) for a 1988 year. To have a wide AM version you have to have a close AM too.
if you want to learn on what to look for .... example.. take a "nice" 1987 and a 1990 and you'll see the difference on the 2 versions. You should be able to see the difference on the "FG" and the font style on the reverse

By all means, rest those eye regularly. My eye strain becomes so pronounced after a short time, that everything looks odd or doubled. LOL

Yes! Sometimes you have to back away and rest them. All looks like you want it think they should look like. Lol. If that makes sense.
