Variety Meanings?

I was just using CONECA, and I can't figure out the terms that they are using, such as:
-Reverse and Obverse are EDS
-Reverse and Obverse are MDS
-Reverse and Obverse are LDS

EDS=Early Die State
MDS=Middle Die State
LDS=Late Die State
