    How far along are you with your 1876 set ???

    Yep HB, in 1888 about 1/4 of the world lived and died under the Union Jack. That is why so many Vicky's.

    I'm with H8. I've been goofy over the commems lately. I enjoy the moderns but I'm working to get a complete type set of the early ones.

    Oddly enough I don't have the IHC or shield nickel yet. I do have the 3 cent nickel, seated liberty dime, quarter, half dollar and Trade dollar. I think I'll have to exclude the gold coins. I might be able to handle the $1 and $20 dollar gold but the 2.5, 3, 5, and 10 are out of my range. Those four coins you'd be lucky to get for $70,000. The $3 gold had a total mintage of 45.

    no ripley it's from 1801, st kitts and antigua also used the black dog as coinage.

    Yeah I claim temporary insanity on that one.
    I kind of feel like the nerdy kid in high school that landed a hot date for the prom.
    Oh wait, I WAS a nerdy kid in high school and I DID land a hot date for the prom. :devil:
