Holy moly are you kidding me? That is a pretty serious collection. LINK Only $60,000! What a bargin. Seriously though I'd be curious to see what they ended up going for.
Very bothersome to read the enormous size of font used in the description, I just quit! (should not have to scroll after reading two words)
If you'd actually read the description, you'd see he doesn't know what a reasonable price is and that you can feel free to make him an offer.
I wish eBay would extend their Insertion Chart. Last I saw the chart for "auction-style" listings ended at "$200.00 or more" at a cost of $2.00. Making sellers pay larger amounts for ridiculous starting prices would slow that sort of thing down. Just something as simple as 1% of the starting price would do it. 1% of $60,000 is $600! I don't know about you, but that would keep me from doing that sort of nonsense.
the relative value should be in eric jordan's "collecting modern commemorative coins" I;m at work so it's not right in front of me.
I'm sure he has a better idea on value of that entire collection than he lets on about. He knows enough about the price of gold to state that the gold alone is worth over $20,000 so no offers near that price.
